I pitched this project idea to kickstarter.com & it has been accepted ! ! I will be working on getting that up and running.

I have begun…

the most ambitious undertaking of my life. I have had this idea for about a year now. Since Arch obtained the rights to mine this remote area of Montana, I have fostered the notion that I need to document it, photographically at least, video, maybe some words, maybe more words than I know how to put down clearly. I feel compelled. I believe I will learn more about myself than I have ever know. I have never been to this place, but I feel drawn there, something keeps it in the foremost of my thoughts. It’s hard to explain.

I will be heading there around the 1st of April,2011, for my first, (of many) surveys of the area. I plan on driving the entire length of the drainage, South to North. I hope to talk with all that will entertain the notion, hopefully establishing contacts for future forays.

For now it’s research the web, ( i have several folders full at home on the lab computer) the order for film & developing supplies has been made & should be here this Friday. I am scheduled to be finished here in Gillette on the 30th.
